Five maintenance videos to film in an afternoon
What this fixes: No video · No content · Hard to sell maintenance · Seasonality problem
These five answer the questions your company gets asked constantly. Film them at one job, on a phone, vertical, sixty to ninety seconds each. They work on social, they sit on the maintenance page, and they answer questions that would otherwise eat your phone time.
Do not script them word for word. Say the point, show the thing, stop.
1. Why your water turned green
Open with the answer. "Green water is almost always a bloom of single celled algae, and it usually means the system is out of balance rather than broken." Show the pond. Cover: what causes it, what actually fixes it, what makes it worse, when it means something is genuinely wrong. Close: "If yours has been green for more than a few weeks, that is worth a look."
2. Cleaning a skimmer basket, the right way
"This takes two minutes and it is the single most useful thing a pond owner can do." Show it, start to finish, including how often and what happens if you never do it.
3. What we actually do on a spring cleanout
Film during a real cleanout. "People ask what they are paying for. Here it is." Draining, fish handling, the wash down, filter service, refilling, treatment, startup. This one sells maintenance better than any page on your site.
4. Fish in winter, what actually happens
"The number one thing people worry about, and the answer is usually that they are fine." Cover: how fish overwinter, water temperature and feeding, why a hole in the ice matters and how to keep one, what not to do. Include your own temperature guidance rather than a generic number, since your region is what matters.
5. When it is a real problem
The honest one, and the most valuable. "Here is what you can handle yourself, and here is when to call somebody." Cover: water loss beyond normal evaporation, pump noise, repeated fish loss, pressure or flow changes, liner damage. Close: "If it is one of those last few, that is not a weekend job."
Where they go
The matching one on each relevant page. All five on the maintenance page. Individually on social across the season. In a reply the next time somebody asks you the question by email, which saves you writing the answer out again.
